We can’t wait to witness God’s amazing work with the kids and staff at Emmanuel this year! Our theme verse for the year is John 8:12 NLT.Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

During the festival of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, where the ceremonial lighting of lamps held profound significance, Jesus made a pivotal statement. By referring to Himself as the light, He powerfully claims His position as the ultimate source of spiritual enlightenment, guidance, and salvation.

Mathew 18: 12-14

12 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? 13 And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away! 14 In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.

Emmanuel Baptist Portales is thrilled to introduce an exciting new bus ministry! Every Sunday, Dusty Reese and Fernie Tapia will provide transportation for children ranging from 1st grade all the way up to 18 years old. Your children will be picked up and safely brought back home following each Sunday School and Church session. Sunday School begins at 9:30 AM, and the morning service typically concludes around 12:30 PM. 

Fernie and Dusty have recently undergone background checks. Additionally, cameras have been set up on the bus to ensure the safety of both the children and our volunteers. The staff members interacting with the children have also completed their background checks and are stationed in the Church Office.

Hello there! Have you been absent from the Thursday Women’s Bible Study? They gather each Thursday at 10:00 AM to dive into an exciting new study on the book of Esther. Don’t miss out!

Are you a young adult seeking a bible study group with peers? If so, we invite you to join us every Sunday from 4 PM to 5 PM in the youth room. This week, we will be kicking off a new study by Thom Rainer titled I Am A Church Member. Don't worry; we will supply the books.
